President Bush is challenging Congress
In an interview aired today from Camp David, President Bush basically challenged the Democrat controlled Congress to stop him from sending in 21,500 troops into Iraq.
He said that he wasn't going to let anyone tell him how to conduct the War in Iraq and that appeared to included the American people. According to the latest polls, an overwhelming percentage of the American people do not support his plan to send in anymore troops.
Hopefully the Congressional leadership can do something about it and fast. I feel that if Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid fail to do something about it, it will make it difficult for the Democrats have much chance in 2008 to win back the White House form the Republicans.

What scares the crap out of me is Bush now bristling to start things up with Iran. The man is crazy.
Nice blog by the way, I have added you as a favourite in BlogMad. :-)
The Dem leadership will do nothing about it... in fact most will end up supporting it in some way.
And I think the President challenged the Democrats to come up with a viable alternative. As of yet (the last 2 years) the Dems have said and done nothing in terms of creating a plan. just naysaying and partisan rhetoric.
I hope they can do better
Thank you for stopping by Ariadnek and I was wondering if you would to like to exchange links.
Opinionation,
Thanks for stopping by and I wouldn't be so sure that the Democrats won't do anything to stop Bush.
This is nothing but good for Democrats. If he wants to be a moron and flat out say he wont let the democrats stop it then in 2 years they wont have any blame on the mess this will create.
I really like your blog also, and I added it to my BLOGMAD favorites.
